Festive Fun with Blue and Gorg
November 22 2024
Thanksgiving week is upon us – a time for family, friends and of course, food. People all across American with gather together to celebrate all the things we are grateful for in our lives, and most will do so over a meal. If you are looking for some unique ways to incorporate Blue and Gorgonzola cheeses into your festive feast, we’ve got you covered. We found some of the yummiest twists on traditional staples that your guests will be sure to gobble up.
Potato & Blue Cheese Soup
We discovered this recipe from Adore Foods, and it’s the perfect first course to your Thanksgiving dinner – it’s a warm, creamy comfort food that is so simple, yet so satisfying. Try it with our flagship Blue – AmaBlu!
Baked Pears with Gorgonzola, Walnuts and Cranberries
Cranberries are such a popular side to serve as a sauce, but this creation from Three Olives Branch really takes it to the next level, serving them over baked pears and coupled with piquant crumbles of Gorgonzola plus some walnuts for a little crunch. Almost too beautiful to eat, it is surprisingly easy to whip up, and is filled with bold, sweet and savory flavors. Our slightly sweet, tangy AmaGorg is the perfect ingredient for this one!
Turkey Breast Roulade
If you are really looking to host outside the box this holiday, consider serving your turkey as a roulade! What is a roulade, you may ask? Roulade comes from the French word “rouler,” which means “to roll” – a roulade is essentially a rolled meat combined with a filling. In this mouth-watering version we came across from Foxes Love Lemons, turkey is rolled with a scrumptious stuffing and then topped with blue crumbles (we recommend our premium St. Pete’s Select for this dish!)
