Bread Pudding

Bread Pudding with Jeffs’ Select gouda

Ingredients

Bread Pudding

  • 1 lb loaf brioche or egg bread
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 qt heavy cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Grand Marnier

Topping

  • 1 cup caramel sauce 1 cup Jeffs’ Select Gouda
  • 2 tbsp chopped pecans

Directions

Bread Pudding

  1. Cut bread into bite-sized cubes.  
  2. Whisk eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, and Grand Marnier in large bowl to blend.  
  3. Pour mixture slowly over bread, allowing it to soak.  
  4. Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.  
  5. Butter 13x9x2-inch baking dish and transfer bread mixture to prepared dish.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 40-45 minutes, until knife inserted into the center comes out clean.  
  7. Cool slightly.  

Topping

  1. Heat caramel sauce until bubbly, then add Jeffs' Select Gouda.  
  2. Once the cheese is melted, add pecans.  
  3. Pour over warm bread pudding and serve.
